The goal was to update an existing pink, blue and green 1950's bath and create an uncluttered space full of natural light. The door opened into the room and hit against the toilet. The sink and tub had pink and baby blue tiles with bright green trim everywhere. Two narrow windows over the sink did not let in any ventilation or light. A built in vanity and make up area took up one entire wall.Project management as well as the conceptual design. Selection of all fixtures, finishes and materials, custom design for the shower tile, tub surround and built in medicine cabinet and wall niche.A bright and light bathroom free of clutter.
The configuration was kept with the exception of the vanity. The sink, toilet and tub were replaced. New drywall and tile was installed including a custom "waterfall" design in the new shower. The door was removed and a pocket door built to conserve space and a skylight installed in the center of the room to let in light. A custom medicine cabinet was built to match the existing windows over the sink and a small niche built into the wall over the jacuzzi tub.
